ABOUT DOCTOR

DR. ANTONY has a measurement background, particularly relating to the safety and quality of clinical care. He works out South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the North East Quality Observatory Service (NEQOS) as well as his role in the AHSN. He has led the Patient Safety Collaborative (PSC), which is commissioned by the National Patient Safety Team in NHS Improvement, since its inception in 2014. The program has evolved over time but has particular strength in Maternity and Neonatal care, identification and management of physiological deterioration (through the use of the various National Early Warning Scores), Medicines Safety, and restrictive practice in Mental Health. The PSC played an important supportive role during the pandemic helping to establish Covid Oximetry @home services and Covid Virtual Wards across the region.
